Hermon High School
Ages 4-12

Try It Sports Day is a sensory-friendly sports exploration event designed for neurodivergent children and their families. Hosted in partnership with Pine Tree OT and Hermon Rec, this event gives kids ages 4–12 the opportunity to explore soccer, t-ball, and track in a low-pressure, fully supported environment. No competition, no scores, just the joy of movement and play.

Every station will be staffed by trained volunteers and OT-informed guides who understand the unique needs of neurodivergent children. Sensory supports, shaded rest areas, and snack and water stations will be available throughout the day. The event is fully accessible and welcoming to children of all abilities, including those who use wheelchairs or have physical differences.

Every child who participates will receive an event t-shirt and a participation medal at a closing celebration because every kid deserves a game day moment.

This event is for: Autistic children, children with ADHD, sensory processing differences, anxiety, developmental differences, and any family who has ever felt hesitant about traditional rec sports.

You are welcome here.

Try It Sports Day is organized by Pine Tree OT, a pediatric occupational therapy practice in Hermon, Maine, specializing in neurodevelopmental differences.
